Welcome to my Journey

The beginning of a journey is always exciting, fuelled by ideas and the buzz of anticipation anything is possible! A writing journey is no different, whether thinking about starting a novel, writing a short story or crafting a flash. The idea fizzes and tempts you as you imagine the completed book. A word has not been written yet. The opening sentence must be curated to engage your future readers, the characters created, and the plot navigated. Now the hard work begins turning the idea into reality.

The instant gratification of writing flash fiction is always enjoyable, the few words used hiding the time it takes to weave the story. The prompt is often the starting point for flash fiction and is the perfect medium for sharing with writing friends when we meet up for coffee and sharing of our written words.

I already have one historical fiction based on my Huguenot 5x Gt. Grandfather. It is finished but refuses to be polished to perfection. There will be more about this story, but not today. There are another couple of potential novels, but they are resting.

Enough of them, this is the journey of my latest idea for a novel.
